activebank Messaging and Payments is an easy to use system for the input, control and management of inbound and outbound SWIFT messages, domestic clearing system payments and other messages.

Most financial institutions use SWIFT, but consideration is also provided for other local, regional and international clearing and settlement systems. activebank Messaging and Payments enables the integration and routing of messages, whatever the final method of communication. All SWIFT message types, both FIN, free-format and domestic messages are supported. The activebank application contains the template and rules for each of the message types. Messages sent via Private Networks can be free format, proprietary or "SWIFT look-a-likes".

The application can be configured to automatically route messages to the correct user department for repair, validation, verification, authorisation and release. Rules control the routing of the messages and different levels of authorisation can be applied per message type. Messages are not released until they have passed all authorisations.

Security facilities within activebank Messaging and Payments control which message types can be created and processed and which queues can be seen. For example a supervisor would be allowed to examine all queues to track the progress of all messages whereas a user would be restricted to processing their own department's messages.
