The activebank General Ledger application provides a fully integrated, multi-currency general ledger offering high degrees of flexibility through its parameterised structure. The system provides the full support and functionality expected within a general ledger operation for the production of trial balance, balance sheet, profitability analysis etc. Whilst supporting a sophisticated multi branch environment, activebank General Ledger also provides for a multiple legal entity operation.

The system provides highly flexible methods of defining both the chart of accounts and the rules upon which accounting entries are generated from transactions. This offers an accounting environment capable of operating within the specific rules of each country or bank as well as allowing for future change.

The General Ledger application is fully integrated with other activebank Retail components. Transactions entered through any area of the bank will automatically pass entries to the general ledger on a real-time basis in accordance with rules defined by the bank. The application has been designed to allow the automatic generation of accounting entries which can then be passed into an external corporate general ledger system if required.
